A focused semiconductor IP design house

A robotic hand reaching up toward a glowing, slowly pulsing NexaSilicon mark — Your Trusted Partner, NexaSilicon

NexaSilicon Co., Ltd. is a semiconductor IP design specialist based in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Founded in April 2026, we bring together a design team with a long track record of mass-production chips across mobile, IoT, automotive, medical, and security applications — now organized as a focused, independent IP design house.

What we do

  • SoC / IP design (RTL → GDSII)
  • IP licensing
  • Turnkey design services
  • Technical consulting on semiconductor design, measurement, and applications

Business scope (per our articles of incorporation): semiconductor IC manufacturing and design, semiconductor layout, design services, IP development, software development and supply, semiconductor sales and distribution, technology licensing, and related consulting and R&D services.

The full semiconductor design flow — from spec to silicon

1

Spec & architecture

Specification definition and system architecture, tailored to each customer's application requirements.

2

RTL & verification

RTL coding and integration, with RTL-level, gate-level, and post-layout verification using UVM environments and test-vector generation. This is where most schedule risk on a SoC program actually lives, so it gets our deepest bench strength.

3

Synthesis & physical design

Logic synthesis, STA, formal & CDC checks, floorplanning, CTS, place & routing, and DRC/LVS.

4

SDK / HDK

Software and hardware development kits — firmware, boot code, and device drivers, built alongside the hardware.

5

Chip test

Gate-level simulation through to chip test, validating silicon against the original specification.

6

Mass-production follow-up

Ongoing support through ramp and mass production, carrying design intent through to volume manufacturing.

AHB · AXI

SoC platform design

We build complete SoC platforms around embedded cores (ARM, RISC-V, 8051), with custom bus architectures (AHB, AXI) sized to each customer's requirements.

Our verification approach combines UVM environments with C-code system tests, covering functional coverage, code coverage, and performance validation — backed by hardware modeling and firmware/device-driver development at the system level.

40+ proprietary IP modules, ready to build on

NexaSilicon has developed a broad library of self-owned IP spanning CPU cores, bus systems, memory controllers, peripherals, and application-specific hardware engines — giving customers a ready foundation to accelerate SoC development and reduce third-party licensing costs.

CPU Cores

  • NXRISCV-X0 / X1 — proprietary 32-bit RISC-V cores (3-stage / 4-stage pipeline, configurable Mul/Div, FP, compressed instructions, 4-level nested interrupt)
  • NX8051 — fast 8-bit embedded controller, full ASM51 instruction set
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M0/M3/M4, Cortex-R4, Cortex-A5, SiFive RISC-V E-series

Bus & System

  • AHB/AXI bus systems, incl. Multi-layer AHB (MLAHB) bus generator
  • System configuration unit (SCU) & power management unit (PMU)
  • AHB DMA (1-channel / 2-channel)
  • Interrupt controller, Always-On low-power subsystem

Memory Interfaces

  • AHB/AXI ROM & SRAM controllers
  • AHB NOR Flash, external SRAM/NOR Flash controllers
  • NAND Flash controller with RS/BCH error correction
  • SDRAM, DDR1/DDR2/DDR3, LPDDR4 controllers

Peripherals & Communication

  • Timer, PWM, FRT, WDT, RTC, GPIO
  • UART, I2C (multi-master & slave), SPI, One-Wire Interface
  • USB 2.0 / USB 1.1 controllers
  • ADC/DAC, LCD interface, keyboard interface

Hardware Engines & Application-Specific IP

  • Image down-scaler, JPEG hardware compression engine, lossless 3:1 DSC encoder/decoder
  • AES/DES cryptographic engines, SECDED/RS/BCH error correction
  • Ethernet 10/100 MAC
Pricing and per-block licensing terms are handled separately in commercial discussions and are not published here.
